Homestays for International Students

We are delighted to announce that our school will be welcoming international students from around the world this upcoming fall and we could use your help. The plan is for each of these students to live with a host family who will make them feel welcome, share our Canadian ways, and help them improve their English. Hosting a student is a great opportunity for your family to develop a friendship with a young citizen of the world, make memories for your family, be an ambassador for your school community and city, and have fun! We will offer you around the clock support, a generous monthly payment and orientations before your student arrives.  If you are interested in hosting a student for a few weeks or for the entire school year, please call 519-916-5290, ext 2028 or visit www.canadahomestaynetwork.ca

The School Letter

The GLSS School Letter is awarded to a student who demonstrates excellence in school involvement and academics throughout their high school career.

Students who are in grades ten, eleven, and twelve will have the opportunity to have their past school involvement at either St. Clair or SCITS accounted for via the tracking page.  Students are encouraged to hand in their tracking sheets to Student Services upon the completion of an activity.

E-mail Address

Items of interest to parents such as notices about parents' nights and report cards will be sent out by e-mail to parents.  Some teachers send out student progress reports by e-mail.  To provide your e-mail address to the school for these purposes, please fill out the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) consent form and return it to the school office.
